Group show at Obelisk Gallery, London. Jimmy McMullen, owner of the Gallery, buys seven works from the artist. Group show, National Museum of Wales, Somerset, UK. The Bank Museum of the Republic of Colombia organizes a One Man Show of Mr. Aquino at their prestigious Art Gallery at the Biblioteca Luis Angel Arango. The Museum acquires five works for their Permanent Collection. Daughter Gianina born on September 9 , 1974. Travels to Lima, enjoys family life and starts a new body of work.

One man show, Camino Brent Gallery, Lima. Selected to “Lines of Vision,” Latin American Drawings (1969 to 1976), The America’s Society, New York. Organized by the Inter American Exhibition Foundation, Washington DC. Show travels to Florida International University, The Arkansas Art Center, College of Fine Arts of the University of Texas at Austin, Oklahoma Art Center, The Indianapolis Museum of Art and Vassar College of Art, New York. III Biennial of American Graphic Arts, Museo La Tertulia, Cali, Colombia.

Awarded Fulbright Fellowship, travels to New York and attends Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York. First studio in New York at 131 West 23rd St. in Chelsea; works intensively on a new series of paintings and drawings while attending Pratt. Group show “Para Alabanza de Dios”, Camino Brent Gallery, Lima. The Society for Contemporary Art of the Art Institute of Chicago invites the artist to show his work at “Drawings of the 70s”, Chicago Art Institute. One man show at Galeria 9, Lima.
