CHAPTER I – Parentage, Birth and Early Years: 1947 – 1965

Humberto Aquino was born in Lima, Perú on October 20
1947. His parents Onofrio Aquino and Adelaida Damián. The
second of 6 brothers and one sister. His father serves in the
military and his mother is a dedicated housewife.

The family moves to Arequipa, the 2nd most important
city in Peru after Lima, the capital city of the country. Here he
continues his education until his father is transferred to the
beautiful city of Tarma in the Central Region of Perú.
Finishes his Primary Education in Tarma in 1958 and enters
High School  at G.U.E. San Ramón where he completes his
First Year of High School.

The Aquino family moves back to Lima; he continues
his studies at G.U.E. Pedro A. Labarthe for the next 5 years
in order to finish his High School.

Enters the National Superior School of Fine Arts of Lima
to study Painting, Drawing and Printmaking.
Parallel studies of Scenography and Lighting at the Institute
of Dramatic Arts in Lima from 1965 to 1968.
